Colleagues may be a manager, team member, coach or similar person who has observed you demonstrate your emotional intelligence in a team. Task 1: Designing survey questions to collect feedback Design a survey with a list of 10 questions you will ask your three colleagues or class members. The questions need to request the feedback providers observations of how you: a) identify your own emotions and their effect on others b) respond to emotional triggers and stressors in the workplace c) recognise and address the emotional strengths and weaknesses of others d) promote the development of emotional intelligence in others e) use emotional intelligence to maximise team performance and outcomes. Use Appendix 1 template as a guide. You may use an online survey tool if preferred. Task 2: Seeking feedback - surveys Using the survey questions you have designed in Task 1, seek feedback from three colleagues or class members who have observed you demonstrate your emotional intelligence in a team on how your emotional intelligence is used in the workplace or similar environment. Print out three copies of the survey and ask your colleagues to either complete this themselves or you could assist by asking the questions and recording the verbal responses in writing. Task 3: Summarise and analyse your feedback Summarise the feedback from your three providers in Task 2. Using this feedback and the three of the theories of emotional intelligence, complete the feedback summary report using Appendix 2 template.
