However door dashing lunch, buying movie tickets, or sending personal emails on the work computer are not acceptable. If an offensive email landed in my inbox I would keep it and print a copy to keep for my protection if any confrontations arise. There are some instances such as passive aggressive tones that can be brushed off, however if it becomes inappropriate or sexual misconduct, then it must be reported. When being issued a company phone it should only be used for work related matters. Depending on your company contract, hourly employees should only used work phone during office hours. While it would then be acceptable to use company phone outside hours if being salaried or an on call employee.Part 2Global businesses if given a choice may vote to a global code of conduct if not for the companies value, then for the consumers. It is important for companies to uphold ethical standards for the sake of their business, including employees, vendors, and consumers. When operating in other countries it is important to abide by their laws and regulations while also pulling ethical values from your personal opinion and your home country. The most ethical way of doing business is to follow a set of ethical relativism and values to produce quality goods and services, while also contributing to international and national markets without causing intentional harm.
