PART $2($A$1\mathrm{.}2)$ Final Business Report $-8$pm Monday $18$ December $($Week $7)$

Purpose: Assume you have applied for a graduate role at either Medibank or The New York Times

and you have been asked to write a report examining management aspects of that organisation.

This business report provides you with an opportunity to strengthen the skills and apply the

feedback you gained through completion of A$1\mathrm{.}1.$ In addition, this report requires you to consider

where you might fit as a manager in your chosen organisation and reflect on what you can do to

prepare for such a position. Use the Business Report format $($see p$.5$ below$)$ to guide you on the

sections required in your report.

There are three tasks you must complete in your Part $2($A$1\mathrm{.}2)$ Final Business Report. You must

complete and submit all three tasks within the body of your report.

Task A$1\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}1$: Define and explain strategic objectives of an organisation. Then describe and evaluate

the strategic objectives of either Medibank or The New York Times in $2023.$ Begin your research by

reading Chapter $9,$ LO$4$ of the text.

Task A$1\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}2$: Define and explain stakeholder management. Evaluate Medibank or The New York

Times$$s performance in stakeholder management in $2023.$ Begin your research by reading Chapter $5,$

LO$6$ of the text.

Task A$1\mathrm{.}2\mathrm{.}3$: Assume you are applying for a team$-$leader job in a commerce or law related

department at either Medibank or The New York Times. Describe the management skills you are

likely to need in this job. Begin your research by reading Chapter $1,$ LO$3$ of the text. Then identify

and evaluate how any two Deakin WIL experiences could provide you with experiences relevant to

this job.
