Part 2: Self-reflection report Complete a critical self-reflection regarding your experience in applying emotional intelligence strategies. Your self-reflection is to be submitted in the form of a report. The layout of your report can include headings and subheadings to ensure all requirements listed below have been included. Task 1: Identify and support your own emotional intelligence (500 - 600 words) a. Evaluate three of your emotional strengths and how they help you in the workplace. b. Evaluate two of your emotional weaknesses or personal stressors and how they impact your performance. C. Propose two strategies you can use to address your own emotional needs and improve your emotional intelligence. d. Propose two adaptations to your personal communication style to build trust and positive working relationships. Task 2: Identify and support the emotional intelligence of others in the workplace (900 - 1100 words). a. Analyse three characteristics of your workplace, or a workplace you are familiar with, that may trigger an emotional response. Document how these triggers impact the workplace. b. Develop a plan to encourage self-management of emotions of the team when these triggers occur. c. Recommend two ways a manager can encourage others to develop their own emotional intelligence. d. Using your knowledge of emotional intelligence, argue benefits to the team and organisational outcomes of a positive, inclusive emotional climate. e. As a leader, you should set an example to your workgroup by modelling the required behaviour. Substantiate two ways that you lead by example.
