Part II (10 points): Please read the following (hypothetical) case carefully.
How to survive market competition?
Traditional automobile trade involves showroom set up, advertisements through several media such as TV, Radio & social media and a large number of marketing teams. Luxury car dealers invite customers to visit their showroom for new car launch events and provide them with refreshments (tea/coffee) and gifts. Also, customers can enjoy a test-drive experience through the car dealers. These incur a heavy cost on the car dealers. Recent advancement in social media encourages customers to shop around online to compare various options for style, quality, performance and cost. Customers' customising their own car by choosing their favourite colour, transmission, style and accessories is very much possible in recent days. This poses a great challenge to the traditional auto dealers. Every player in the automobile market has to compete differently to capture the market.
