Part One: What do You Do?????

It is January 1^st 2007. You are a project manager for MNDOT. You are one year from retirement. You have one major freeway project left to oversee before its nothing but Toes in the Water, Back Side in the Sand, and Coconut Smelling Foo-Foo drinks for you (Sorry I could not help it, The Zach Brown Band is the best).

Matter of fact, things are going so well the freeway project looks so good it looks like it will come in under budget. Your boss says big bonus if you keep it under budget. This would be nice because the state is running short on money (way short) and that Cabana just went up in price on E-bay since you checked last.

There is only one glitch. The bridge inspector was in your office this morning with and interesting bit of info. He claims that those gusset plates on the I-35 Bridge are rusting and stressing faster than predicted. The bridge would need replacement within 2-5 years but it is hard to say really hard to say. He seemed very concerned but realizes the budget constraints. The only two people that know about this issue are you and him.
