PART THREE - WEEKS NINE THROUGH FOURTEEN

BOTTOM LINE: FIVE PAGE PAPER

RECOMMENDATIONS

Read chapters 10-17.

The 2nd half of the course digs into the 4P's in more depth.

So, again, consider your client's marketing challenges.

STEP 6: Write a paper that outlines your client's business and issues, as well as new ideas for the client; your paper should have at least three solid recommendations for change. These should be clear and concrete, not vague or unrealistic.

Page 1 - Product (chapters 10 and 11)

Some PRODUCT recommendations:

- Modifying existing products (new feature or line extension) OR new product ideas

- Ideas for partnering with other businesses that have related or complementary products or services (cross promotion)

Page 2 - Price and Place (chapters 12 -14)

Some PRICE / PLACE recommendations:

- Create a new pricing model (e.g. student discount or bundling, BOGO, etc.)

- Idea(s) for new venues for product sales (to reach existing or new customers)

- Idea for an event for customers or prospective customers, with a press release

Pages 3 and 4 - Promotion (chapters 15-17)

Some PROMOTION recommendations:

- Create ideas and artwork for promotional pieces (ads, coupons, or similar) for mailers (e.g. ValPak)

- Create a social media campaign with sample social media posts to attract / retain customers

- Create brochure, newsletter, or other materials to send to existing or new customers

- Design a new logo and / or tagline (consider brand identity)

Note: these recommendations may require additional deliverable (e.g. coupon, brochure) be sent with your paper.

Again, these do not need to be full pages as long as you say what you need to.
