Patrol Officer Dale has been with the Albany Police Department for three years. She generally does not converse with many of her fellow officers and when she does it is usually about work. Patrol Officer Dale is a single mother of two boys and expects everyone to feel sorry for her that she is a single mother. She is constantly asking her sergeant for time to tend to her kids while her shift is extremely busy. When the sergeants denies her requests she develops a horrible attitude and blames everyone else. Patrol Officer Dale has received several complaints from the citizens of Albany about her horrible attitude and nonchalant disposition. She has even been written up once about how she talked to a citizen that needed police assistance.
Explain how Officer Dale's attitude can effect her when it comes to a promotion on the job? Also, explain how her attitude can effect her when it comes to specialized training that her supervisor may want to send deserving officers to?
