Perform a Schedule Analysis

It's time for you to perform a schedule analysis. A worksheet template has been provided for you of a network diagram. Complete a forward and backward pass to calculate early start (ES), early finish (EF), late start (LS), and late finish (LF) for each activity.

you must include the following items:

  1. Complete forward pass by calculating early starts and finishes for each activity.
  2. Complete backward pass by calculating late starts and finishes for each activity.
  3. Calculate total float for each activity.

Please use the following Word document to complete this assignment Lesson 5 Assignment Handout.docx two options for completing your schedule analysis: Option 1: Write the results of your calculations on the network diagram provided. Option 2: Enter the results of your calculations into the chart provided. Once you have completed the assignment:

  1. Review your document to make sure that it conforms to the rubric provided below.
  2. Be sure to check your document for spelling and errors in grammar before you turn it in. You will only be allowed to submit it once.
  3. For Option 1, you will need to scan your completed document and save your file as a .pdf or .jpeg. For Option 2, you can simply save your completed document as a .doc.

Lesson 5 Assignment Handout

Assignment Instructions

you will start by calculating forward pass for this schedule based on the given information that the early start for activity A is day 1. Once you have completed the forward pass, you will calculate a backward pass based on the given information that the late finish of activity D is day 22. Upon finishing the backwards pass, you will then calculate total float for each activity.

Submission Instructions

You may submit your completed assignment in network diagram format or in chart format. Below you will find both a starter network diagram and starter cart that will serve as a starting point for your schedule analysis.

Option 1: Network Diagram

Instructions: After performing your calculations, write your responses on the following network diagram:

NOTE: I have this little tips For the assignment, calculate the forward pass for this schedule. The early start for activity A is day 1. Once complete for all forward pass activities, calculate a backward pass. The late finish of activity D is day 22.

Then calculate total float for each activity

For Early Start and Activity A:

ES is 1, (with 3days to complete activity) EF = 1+3-1= 3,so EF is 3

Continue to calculate Early Start for all other activities.

Activity B can start the next day, so if Activity A completes in 3 days, Activity B will begin on Day 4 as ES= 4+6= 10-1=9, so EF for Activity B is 9.

Continue this calculation for the rest of the activities.

For Late Start you start with Activity D, so for Activity D:

Late Finish (given in the assignment) is 22- 7 duration days= 15+1= 16, so LS is 16, so LF for Activity C and F would be one day before so 15 would be the LF day for those activities.

Calculate the rest for the remaining activities.

Total Float is time between EF and LF, so only Activities E & F have float.

analysis. A worksheet template has been provided for you of a networkdiagram. Complete a forward and backward pass to calculate early start (ES),

ES EF ES EF Activity B Activity C ES 1 EF 6 days 6 days ES EF Activity A LS LF LS LF Activity D 3 days 7 days ES EF ES EF LS LS LF 22 LF Activity E Activity F 5 days 4 days LS LF LS LFInstructions: After performing your calculations, fill in the correct information as indicated in the chart below: Activity ID Activity A Activity B Activity C Activity D Activity E Activity F
