personality paper
In this paper, you will be analyzing the communication within a relationship through the lens of your Myers-Briggs personality type. Heres how to break it down:
Paragraph 1: Describe an important relationship with another person, alive or dead. You may leave out names and intimate details, but use this ONE paragraph to give a brief overview of the relationship itself and its importance in your life.
Paragraphs 2-5: How do you think some of the components of your Meyers-Briggs personality type play a role in this relationship? You dont need to go through all of them; rather, focus each paragraph on 1-2 facets that you think are most pertinent to this analysis.
If you clearly identify with all of the facets within one type, its easy to say that you are that type (E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P). If you identify with facets on both sides (3 on one side and 2 on the other, for instance) then you have a slight preference for one side over the other.
In each paragraph, explain your preference for type and give notable information from the facet description found in the corresponding Blackboard folder. Your goal in each of these 4 paragraphs is to explain how your personality impacts the relationship that youre analyzing. As such, you may also include information within each paragraph about their type as it relates to your interactions.
Paragraph 2: E (extraversion) or I (introversion)
Paragraph 3: N (intuitive) or S (sensing)
Paragraph 4: T (thinking or F (feeling)
Paragraph 5: P (perceiving) or J (judging)
Paragraph 6: Conclusion. Which of the elements that you wrote about has the strongest impact on this relationship? Why? Wrap up the paper in a way that shows critical thought, and goes beyond a few obvious statements about communication.
