(Please actually solve it and not just write out instructions, I'm so confused)The steel framing plan provided below supports a mezzanine platform used for heavy storage (LL =125 PSF). The beams support a concrete slab on metal deck (DL =55 PSF) that spans perpendicular to the beams (one-way load path). Beams 2 & 4 then transfer the load to the girders which are simply supported by the box columns. Beams 2 and 4 also brace the girders at midspan. Select the most economic W-shape from Table 3-10 in the FE reference manual for Girder 1. Use LRFD load combos. Assume Cb =1.0 and neglect the self-weight of the steel beams and girders. The square column that supports both Beam 1 and Girder 1 is an HSS8x8x1/2. How tall can this column be to support the 125 PSF live load and 55 PSF dead load from the problem above? Assume the column is fix supported at the top (but able to laterally translate) and pin supported at the base. Ignore Beam 1, Girder 1 and the columns self-wt. You will need to use Table 1-12 in the Steel Construction Manual to look up the necessary geometrical properties for a HSS8x8x1/2 column
