Please analyze this and ask an open-ended or direct question at the end. Thank you so much for your help.
Outsourcing is something organizations have done to cut costs and increase production. Some organizations outsource to other businesses that are recommended to them or that they have developed a relationship with over time. Outsourcing to low-cost countries can benefit the organization in that their production and process are cost-effective as well and the output for the product is better than anywhere else. Reliability and trust are the other contributing factors to outsourcing to a low-cost country as this relationship is important to maintain the income and financial support to the workers at the company providing the products.
There are some things that organizations need to know and understand before outsourcing to just any other company. The difference in culture, quality, lead times, and inventory levels that the company maintains. Culture can be an aspect of an organization when they do not believe in or support the product they are developing as it could go against their beliefs and values. Quality is the number one factor that will make or break a relationship in outsourcing and is what the organization wants in the product that is being outsourced. The lowest price with the highest quality they can get. Lead times will derail a project or product as the organization may have to adjust times for completed work and have orders that are promised but are now delayed due to the outsourced company not meeting timelines. The inventory of the product and raw materials will be a determining factor in choosing the right company as you want quality and timely service and products.
