Clearly, in this movie, the Human Resources office did not distribute any kind of memo explaining to John Q how his health insurance had changed to an HMO, nor had it been explained to him that since we was only working 20 hours a week, he received 2nd-tier level on major surgeries, which only covered him for $20,000 maximum. Can you understand why the HR department didn't explain this? What is your opinion about why they didn't send a memo out to their employees when they made a change. How do you feel about how hospitals treat patients who don't have insurance? Do you think that is okay? Or do you feel that the hospital also has a right to make sure they can stay in business?
