Please answer the following two part question fully as a business law question and follow the IRAC principle.
- Albert hired a hall with seating capacity of 2,000 from the Wayside Corporation at a charge of $3,000.00 for one week. He also hired an internationally known pop group to appear in concert at the hall for a fee of $10,000.00. 1,400 concert tickets were sold in advance of the concert at a price of $10.00 each.
Two days before the first concert, Wayside Corporation informed Tony that his letting had been cancelled in favor of another client who is prepared to pay more for the hire of the hall.
- Advise Albert who wants to hold the Corporation to the Agreement.
- What, if any, would be the difference to your answer if Albert is not able to persuade the Corporation to allow him the use of the hall and as a result he has been obliged to pay the group its fees for the week and return the $14,000.00 ticket money to the ticket holders.
