Solve the following workplace conflict using two of the conflict management styles that we have learned about: Avoidance, Accommodating, Authoritative, Compromising, Collaboration. Please explain why your solution fits your chosen style of conflict resolution. The conflict: Mark and Jane both work at SpendSmart Financial services. Mark has been with the company for 25 years, and Jane for 7. Recently, the two of them have both been assigned the responsibility of a major client; together, they are in charge of managing the finances of their client, and need to check in with each other regularly in order to assure the numbers are correct and everything is accounted for. Mark takes a much more relaxed approach to Jane, as he has been there longer and "knows what he's doing"; he often sends her his numbers late, which affects the way that Jane looks in the client's eyes. Mark recently forgot to consult with Jane about his figures before taking a 2-week vacation to Florida; while he is gone, the client calls Jane, furious about the lack of communication that has been occurring, and tells her that her and Mark need to "get it together". Mark returns from his trip, acting as if everything is fine, although Jane knows that something needs to change, and that a possibly uncomfortable conversation is in their future.
