ACCT7013: F20 DATA ANALYSIS ASSIGNMENT

Your firm has been hired to audit KATS Insurance company. Youve been selected to be a member of the audit team assigned to the engagement and are required to come up with a testing plan for the sales account. To aid you with your plan, youve obtained a copy of the full dataset (population) of KATS Insurance sales for the year under review, January 1 December 31, 2017 (you can access this under the assignment module on FOL content). Results from your interview with the VP, National Sales indicated that the company has experienced an overall 2% decline in sales year over year. He indicated that this aligns with the national industry trend so he has expressed no concern overall in this regard. He has also indicated that there are no specific concerns with staffing. Average turnover has occurred and there doesnt appear to be much change in the competitive environment. Additional information from 2016 that may aid with your analysis is included as follows: Table 2016.1
