1. If faced with increasing pressure to get a project done ahead of time, what steps should a project manager take if he feels this will jeopardize project quality?

First and foremost, a meeting with primary stakeholders such as the CIO regarding the potential impact of rushing a project ahead of schedule as it would impact an organization. Following the initial SDLC is essential for quality production of the project, but Primary stakeholders can clarify their expectations regarding the business objective and how it will correlate to the project's completion. Completing a project ahead of schedule does not always equate to poor quality of a project. Quality completion is never guaranteed but always possible. Company budget must be assessed and estimated towards the completion of the project, as well as partnering with additional stakeholders and teammates to review the quality of the project, whilst completing project tasks and objectives.

2. Suppose that rather than time, the pressure is to do more with less, that is to accomplish the same scope with staff cuts and budget cuts. Does that change your answer? That is, what steps should a PM take if he feels this will jeopardize project quality?

The answer would not change. As aforementioned, quality completion is never guaranteed, but always possible. There are many tools that can help calculate an estimation of project completion based on available resources. Managing the process of project quality involves many things, such as setting quality targets for your team to meet, defining how to measure those quality targets and reporting on them. (Ray 2019). Extra precautionary measures will need to be taken place in terms of budgeting and expenses as well as time utilized for project tasks. With proper planning and a conservative mindset, a project can still be completed on time.

4.What kind of short-term and long-term effects might it have on the organization or corporation itself?

Short term effects involve overall company morale in the workplace. Stakeholders and employees will be more irritable towards each other, and work performance would be further emphasized, but in can also bring teammates closer together in terms of having more of an urgency to help and guide one another to illicit more positivity in the workplace to increase project completion. Subjective factors can influence project completion depending on individuals and compatibility.
