An example of an organization that has effectively used information technology to enhance its service is Amazon. Amazon uses digitalization in order to enhance its profitability. This company as a whole can be looked at as a "data-driven" and "customer runs innovation". There was no real problem with the way goods were being used and distributed prior to Amazon but Bezos found an opportunity. The company as a whole took the opportunity to supply an easier and faster way to get goods to your doorstep. Amazon supplies billions of people with access to shopping at their fingertips.

Cloud computing to e-readers, online grocery shopping, movie viewing, and gaming are all features within the app that comprise information that is suited for the user. Personalized recommendations, one-click ordering, and in-home delivery are just some of the many things that are considered appealing to the consumer. The pandemic really shifted the way that we get our goods and services, while grocery stores were limited to one person per family, Amazon continued to make a fortune supplying goods to households in 2 days or less. Using the platform Amazon Prime, this can be argued that it made many people more online-oriented. Online shopping was safer, more affordable, and can be argued as an easier alternative while the world was in lockdown.

Amazon as a company has done nothing but grow over the past few years. Warehouses seem to be popping up in larger cities to sustain the volume that is rising. The company uses artificial innovation to judge customer demand, optimize delivery speed and routes, and keep up-to-date personalized communication with their consumer as to where their items purchased may be.

At the end of the day, businesses strive to make improve lifestyles and make consumers happy. Amazon has done this in more ways than one.
