Please critique the following sample method:

1)What is the target population?

The target population is the existing customers of the retailer throughout the nation. Rather than people who have already used the service, the retailer team wants to know how it affects their existing customers. This target population defines the terms of elements and the geographical location of interest (Sekaran & Bougie, 2020).

2) What are the parameters of interest?

The parameters include the following:

(the population mean): the average satisfaction of in-person retail customers

(the population standard deviation): the disparity in the mean satisfaction

The parameters of interest can be noted as the difference in populations. For the null hypothesis, we can assume H0: - 0 = 0 (Sullivan, n.d.).

3) What is the sampling frame?

The sampling frame embodies all the aspects in the sample population. The sampling frame should provide a total list of the population (Sekaran & Bougie, 2020). The sampling frame for this scenario could be the list of all customers that purchased in the store and used payments methods that can track their identity (credit card, check, loyalty memberships, etc.). The sampling frame would need to allow for screening participants.

4) What is the appropriate sampling method?

Stratified random sampling would be a good sampling method to use. It uses a process of segregating different group levels and randomly sample each group (Sekaran & Bougie, 2020). We could group the different people that shop at the retailer by age or other status. Then we would use sampling to determine whether the service is desirable for each separate group.

5) What size sample is needed?

The sample size can differ depending on research objective, anticipated precision, risk, variability, and sampling constraints (Sekaran & Bougie, 2020). I would prefer using a minimum 50 participants for each age group in our stratified random sampling. The stratification would most likely have 4-5 different groups.
