The Creation Poem by James Weldon Johnson represents a modern artistic expression of Gods Creatio ex nihilo (Latin for creation from nothing) work in the book of Genesis. Johnson describes all six days of creation as outlined in the scriptures as well as the day of rest on the seventh day.
After reading the poem and watching the video of the poem performed, answer the following.
On the PDF of The Creation Poem by James Weldon Johnson (attached and in course content), label the Day of creation from the scriptures (1-6, or day 7) you feel each of the sections lines up closest with and give a two-sentence explanation of why. There are 12 sections in the downloadable PDF, so make sure to have a Day of creation or multiple days of creation that correspond with each.
