The training strategy needs to embody a learning philosophy that enables employees to feel comfortable, engaged, and eager to learn. To do this I would blend a learning culture and opportunities for upward mobility with the organization's overall strategy. This means that I would invest in continuous learning opportunities for employees that allow them to further develop their skill sets. I would invest heavily in employee development for various reasons, one being it attracts new and top talent, while also retaining those currently in the organization. As stated by our first article, doing so has been known to increase companies' profitability by up to which to me sounds like it has a lot to do with organizational strategy and success. Doing so would also allow employees to feel motivated to learn. As a result, they would be more innovative, which is known to be a valuable skill for longterm organizational success. In this case, I would do regular checkins to ensure that employees feel as though they are being given the support and tools necessary to accomplish their development. I would give them an open forum or other means of communicating their concerns, recommendations, or thoughts on the matter frequently. This would help to ensure that they feel valued and supported, which further motivates them to grow and apply their skills to our overall shared success.
