Performance is usually measured on an employee's key responsibility areas, set by the employers. The high performance of the employees would be rewarded by the employer as where the employer's would be benefited towards the organization growth. A high performance employee would develop its abilities and skills-as they would have a clear idea on the job they are performing. This would lead to the company to try to retain these type of employees as they could represent their opportunity to remain competitive in the market. In a high performance work system, the whole process of communication between the employee and the employer improves as well and it allows for a more positive relationship between the both and towards the decision making process and any type of change within the organization.
