Please help and include all steps. I will give whoever does this correctly a thumbs up. An enzyme was used for different concentrations of a specific substrate, in absence and presence of an inhibitor ([1]=1mM) obtaining the following results:
[S] m N:
2
2.5
3.25
6.10
20
V(umol/min)- Inhibitor
3.3
3.9
4.5
6.5
8
V(umol/min)+ Inhibitor
2.2
2.4
2.6
2.9
3.2
Calculate the Vmax and Km in both cases and the k1 for the inhibitor. What type of inhibition is produced?
Remember to include the point 0,0,0 in the original data for the graphs. For the linear graph you don't have to include 0,0,0. You must create a new data table for the reciprocal values. Once this graph is done you must extrapole linearly to determine the inverses of Km and Vmax. Then calculate Vmax in reciprocal form.
It's important to note:
You must include BOTH graphs.
You must include the data table of both graphs.
You must include all the lines in each of the graphs.
Include every step of the calculations according to the linear graph of Vmax and Km.
You must establish a conclusion regarding the inhibitor according to each of the graphs: competitive, non-competitive and uncompetitive.
