A strain gage is a sensor used to measure the strain $($deformation per length$)$ of an object under load.

When mounted on a structural component, such as a suspension linkage, the strain gage provides data

that can be correlated to the force and stress acting on the structure. In this scenario, a bench test was

performed to calibrate a strain gage attached to a suspension linkage using known applied loads

$($Project#$2).$ The linkage was then attached to a vehicle and tested in the field. The data from that test

can be found in the strain gage field data file on blackboard.

Complete a lab report for the strain gage laboratory. This report will be a full lab report. The

objective of the report is to present and explain Project #$2.$ Also, use the calibration curve

equation you developed to find stress as a function of time for the field data.
