Please help me change this essay a little bit
N [ ] Family Generation Assignment + | have a pretty big family and a lot of cousins from almost everywhere | can think of. But when it comes to knowing them, it's mostly my dad's side that I'm most familiar with. like, for example, his parents and siblings because | grew up with them and we all lived together. | know some details here and there from my mother's side, but not as much as from my father's. | would like to learn a lot more about my mom's side some day. Decrease in birth rate: There has been a really big decrease in birth rate in my family's generation compared to my grandparents' generation. For example, they had as many kids as they could, like my grandparents from my dad's side, who had eight children without my father included. They just wanted to expand their family and make it as big as they could. Now there's been a really big change. A lot of my families only have up to four children and no more than that. There are a lot of reasons why they choose not to have a lot of kids, and one of them is that they are pretty expensive, and it's just not the same as it was back in the day. They did not have to pay for some of the things that people are paying for right now, so it made it easy for them. Some also want to focus on their career and maybe even go back to school, or some cannot afford to have kids. Gini C. (1926). Decline in the birth-rate and "fecundability\" of women. The Eugenics review, 17(4), 258-274. | think the change is not too positive because, as Assyrians, the Indigenous people of Iraq, our culture and people are slowly dying, and everything is going away with it. We already have lost our land, but we cannot lose our culture Change In Attitudes in Marriage: Marriage has changed a lot compared to the past generations of my family, including both my mother's and father's sides. Marriage is very important in the Middle East. All my grandparents have had arranged marriages, and dating was not allowed for both men and women. If two people were to fall in love, they would have to get married right away, and if they were to have a kid outside of marriage, it would be a really big problem, and they would not be seen as good people, especially women. People would 841 [ ] Family Generation Assignment + Change In Attitudes in Marriage: Marriage has changed a lot compared to the past generations of my family, including both my mother's and father's sides. People would call the women a lot of different things that are not appropriate. Now, with the generation changing, some things are allowed, such as dating and not having to get married right away. But having a child before marriage has still not changed, and it's still looked down on. A lot of people from my family who want to get married say it's way too expensive and they would rather wait until they can afford it, and some say they want to focus on school rather than get married. Gubernskaya, Z. (2010). Changing Attitudes toward Marriage and Children in Six Countries. Sociological Perspectives, 53(2), 179-200. | think change is positive because it gives people more time to think about whether or not they have found the person that they actually want to spend the rest of their life with. | think that arranged marriages did not have a good impact on people because | feel like it's really forced and people are not going to be happy in their marriage. So I'm glad that that's not around anymore. Loosening Of Religion: Although everyone in my family, including me, is still religious and still believes in it, we still participate in all of the events and masses. Some from both sides of my family have not lost their faith but don't participate in religious events or go to church on Sundays. | feel like if my grandparents were still here, they would go nuts because it was very important to them. They were at church for every second of their lives and would not miss a mass or religious event. Not just them but almost all people like my aunts and uncles would go church even if they did not have the time to. People from my family say they just don't have the time to go to church and that Sundays are their days off from work and would rather not do anything. | have bread that some people just find religion toxic and it just doesn't work for them and would rather live their life without it. | 8:419 S Family Generation Assignment + Loosening Of Religion: Although everyone in my family, including me, is still religious and still believes in it, we still participate in all of the events and masses. Changing Roles in Family: Family roles have changed a lot in this newer generation of my family. For example, back in my grandparents' generation, the men were supposed to be \"the men of the house." They would go to work and provide for their family, and that would be it. They would not help with the kids or help the wife clean and cook because, at the time, it was just a woman''s job and not a man''s job. But now it's completely opposite, at least in my family. Both parents take turns doing things like watching the kids while cooking or cleaning together instead of leaving everything for the women to do. This is a really positive change for married or unmarried couples, and | think it actually helps a relationship last longer, so it is not just one-sided. This change isn't just happening with my family and generation; it's also happening with a lot of different people from many different cultures. | am really glad that this has changed because when it's the other way around, it looks like the woman is doing most of the family work while the man is just providing and coming home eating and sleeping. | have heard many stories of people saying how it is really draining for mothers. In conclusion, my family has changed a lot throughout the years for the better. 8:41 [ ] Family Generation Assignment + positive change for married or unmarried couples, and | think it actually helps a B0 50f 6 different cultures. | am really glad that this has changed because when it's the other way tlonger, so it is not just one-sided. In conclusion, my family has changed a lot throughout the years for the better. Our families used to be very large and have a lot of kids, but due to the high cost, fewer people are having children now. Marriage has changed a lot as well. People are now able to pick who they wish to marry, unlike in the past when marriages were only planned. There's also been a lot of loosening of religion, and the newer generation of my family is not as religious. Lastly, the roles of family have changed a lot, and the changes show how everyone is adjusting to new lifestyles and thought patterns. Although there are some things that should have stayed, it's the best for everyone. Reference - Gubernskaya, Z. (2010). Changing Attitudes toward Marriage and Children in Six Countries.
