Peers post: Hello Classmates, I can reflect on my actions of not holding my employee accountable for their duties and low performance. I didn't act or disciplinary action but decided to work with situation at hand. i often found myself voluntarily covering down for my employee when a task hasn't been completed or I would just do it. This enabled my employee while adding to my workload and stress. I did myself a disservice and didn't posture my employee to develop or utilize his skills for advancement which led to my employee being complacent. This poor management decision lead me to discover my weaknesses and effects in leadership. Once the employee retired from the position, it presented me the opportunity to develop and improve my leadership skills. Overall, this was a learning experience and lead me to strengthen my delegation, trust and team-building skills.
