Question 1 An event company is purchasing new canopies for the coming wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony will be attended by 4350 guests. The event company has decided to purchase type A canopy, which can fit 95 guests and is priced at RM800; type B canopy, which can fit 60 guests and is priced at RM600; type C canopy, which can fit 50 guests and is priced at RM500. The event company wants to ensure the quantity of type C canopy purchased is half of the type B canopy. The total amount spent for the purchase of canopies is RM42000. a. Analyse the above scenario and solve for the quantity for each type of canopy (type A, B, and C) that needs to be purchased so that it meets the stated requirement by using the concept of matrix. Show the solution using two (2) different matrix methods. List down the name of the methods and all the assumptions/values used in the calculation. (15 marks) b. If the type A canopy is out of stock, analyse and explain the impact on the quantity of type B and C canopies that need to be purchased, if the stated requirement remains the same.
