Upon proof of completion of steps 1 - 6, a pre-candidate will be unconditionally admitted to the EPP CEHP for initial programs. The pre-candidate will then advance to candidate status. The steps must be completed before the candidate can be unconditionally admitted into the EPP CEHP. A candidate must have full admission to the EPP CEHP before they can be enrolled in the appropriate field II course for their program of study. The EPP CEHP allows admission for fall, spring, and summer terms.
- At least 30 semester credit hours completed from an accredited institution of higher education.
- A grade or C or above in Intro to Education and Credit in Intro to Education Field Experience I
- Admissions Dispositions Assessment submitted by advisor and candidate. If significant concerns arise, a score of ineffective in any component, the pre-candidate will meet with the Professional Competencies Committee to develop an improvement plan.
- The advisor and candidate will complete the initial EPP CEHP Admission Form once the pre-candidate self-assessment form is completed and admissions requirements have been met.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 in previous coursework from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Proof of basic skills in all categories: reading, writing, and math.
- Proof of initiation of Background and Child Maltreatment Check submitted to DESE

Criteria for Conditional Admission
A pre-candidate may qualify for conditional admission once the following steps have been met.
- At least 30 semester credit hours completed from an accredited institution of higher education.
- A grade or C or above in Intro to Education
- Admissions Dispositions Assessment submitted by advisor and candidate. If significant concerns arise, a score of ineffective in any component, the pre-candidate will meet with the dispositions committee to develop an improvement plan.
- Initial EPP CEHP Admission Form completed jointly by the pre-candidate and advisor.
- Two of the four requirements from steps 5 and 6 under Criteria for Unconditional Admission can be outstanding until the candidate's required Field II course. A pre-candidate can use the GPA criteria from step 5 as a condition if their overall GPA is between 2.7 - 2.99. A pre-candidate must meet all conditions and be unconditionally admitted before Field II enrollment.
- Proof of initiation of Federal Background and Child Maltreatment Check submitted to DESE.
