Please help me with this

This assignment represents the business process models for part of the operations at Jack and Annies Soup and Sandwich Service. There are several processes that the new IS should support, including account setup, account maintenance, customer orders, delivery assembly, and delivery, among others. Your task is to assemble a process model for the order process only. Your submission should include: Business Process Model This represents a portion of the context for new system. You need to describe the order process at Jack and Annies Soup and Sandwich Service using BPMN. The process is described in greater detail later on. The processes may be depicted in a hierarchical manner or at a single level use your judgment to determine that. You should exploit the richness afforded by BPMN to convey an accurate sense of the process. This is to be assembled using the BPMN notation. If you are using Visio, you can download the BPMN09 Diagram stencils and templates from the Canvas page.

Assumptions This section covers the assumptions that you have made in assembling the model, so that I can better understand the thinking that went into the creation of the model. Assumptions could cover: Scope of the process. This addresses what is included and excluded from the process.

Task relevance. Keep in mind that individual tasks may be performed by different actors, using different technologies. This addresses whether you consider them part of the process.

Process looping. This addresses whether activities occur multiple times during the process.

Exception handling. Every process is bound to run into problems during execution. How do you plan on depicting these exceptions? Process structuring. This addresses whether you are using a single level or hierarchical depiction of the process.

The process starts when a customer connects to the website to place an order. If they have an account, they can sign in, or they are given an opportunity to create an account. They can also check out as a guest if they so choose. Customers navigate through the website selecting the items they wish to order. Jack and Annie did not expect to place any restrictions on the quantity a customer wishes to order. However, after an unfortunate situation where the quantity was noted as an 11 instead of a 1, they realize that there should be a cap, and have settled on 5 as a maximum value for any item ordered. Since the soup inventory is limited, the order process should verify if the quantity on hand will cover the order or not. Bear in mind that this might be a little challenging, since soups can be ordered in pints as well as quarts. Customers also need to specify if they want a lunchtime or suppertime delivery the former run starts at 11:30 a.m., while the latter at 5:30 p.m. Customers must order 30 minutes in advance to be placed on a run. Additional deliveries between lunch and supper are possible, but may take longer. Currently, anorder can have only one delivery time, but this is something that can be revised in the future.

After finalizing the order, customers will be invited to sign in if they have an account, and information on file will be used to complete their order. If not, they are asked to provide demographic information, payment information, as well as delivery instructions and delivery address (which could be different). They may elect to create an account or check out as a guest. Payment options accepted are credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal. After verifying that the quantities are available, an order total is computed including delivery charges and taxes, and the payment process is invoked. Should the payment be declined, customers are prompted for an alternative payment option, or may elect to cancel the order. Once everything has been verified, the order is logged, and a confirmatory email is sent to the customer. Order information will subsequently be used for the delivery assembly process.
