Synthesis Email For this assignment, you will write a professional email (approximately 200-300 words) analyzing one attribute of a product/service. You must include the following information and sections. I. Header: Follow email formatting described in course resources (videos, textbook, etc.) II. Introduction: Define the topic and/or reason for writing (see the Intros/Conclusions video on the D2L schedule) III. Body: The body of your email must discuss one important attribute of the products/services. As part of discussing the attribute, you must explain why it is important and how it can help determine whether a product/service should be purchased. So, do not choose something insignificant (such as color). For our purposes, you will NOT select price (since we'll assume the product is in the approved price range). For example, if you were discussing an external hard drive, you might research and discuss the transfer speed. Similarly, if you were discussing a fly fishing rod, you might research and discuss the "taper" (i.e., the length and thinness as well as the impact on the rod's action). To accomplish this assignment, you must "triangulate data" (i.c., use more than one trusted source when you research the attribute) and synthesize data (see the readings/videos listed on D2L for help). Therefore, you must use a variety of sources, such as: The product website (with stats/facts) Professional product reviews (such as Consumer Reports as well as websites/videos featuring experts who have used the product) Consumer reviews (e.g., user reviews from Amazon.com or Walmart.com as long as you don't cherry pick" a bad or good review, but use the overriding sentiment with a few select quotes that represent that sentiment) Personal assessment (if you own or have tried the product, you can provide your own assessment as long as you compare and contrast your personal assessment to other sources)
