Ethics Case Report (Class "clear circle" exercise)

Summary:

A close friend of mine used inappropriate language (sexual comments, jokes, and rumors) with a member of our HR department. I have been observing this for a long time, and I am convinced that this is sexual harassment. It wasn't just me who saw it, but also some office staff. However, they did not raise the issue when they saw it. My friend and I have developed a close friendship over the past few years. I don't want to ruin that friendship because of his actions. Therefore, I told HR directly what he did. Due to the fact that I reported the problem to HR, the situation seems to be getting worse instead of better. I believe that someone told my friend that I reported him to HR so he still doesn't talk to me.
