Attitudes are defined as psychological tendencies expressed by evaluating a particular entity with some degree of favor or disfavor (Scandura, 2022, p. 72). At the same time, perception reflects how attitudes are viewed, whether positively or negatively. Attitudes are shaped by the organization's leadership style and the ongoing conversations among employees who are either satisfied or dissatisfied with their work. Positive attitudes involve effective leadership communication, which makes employees feel valued and trusted, as well as recognizing them for a job well done within the organization (Scandura, 2022, p. 73). When employees feel valued, they are more likely to have a positive perception of the company. On the other hand, dissatisfied employees create chaos in the workforce, lowering morale and work performance, which discourages employees from wanting to stay with the company.

Regarding the quote, "Start early, and it will shorten your day." This quote encourages employees to utilize their morning energy after having had a good night's sleep to complete their work before they become exhausted. As our textbook states, when people are sleep-deprived, they tend to feel more irritable, angry, and hostile (Scandura, 2022, p. 52). Therefore, starting work early would allow workers to complete the task sooner before evening exhaustion kicks in, reducing the rush an individual would feel during evening hours.
