Undertake an item analysis on the results of a summative classroom test .  Results of test is displayed in the table below.

 

 

The report should include:

 

 

(i).   An 'introduction' which provides an overview of the report.  The definition of key item analysis terms and an explanation of the importance of performing the applicable item analyses should be provided.

 

(ii).     An analysis of the test items using discrimination and difficulty indices as well as distractor analyses.

- Students' performances should be presented using basic statistics including an appropriate measure of central tendency and measure of dispersion.

-              -  Tables and or statistical graphs must be correctly and clearly labeled.

 

(iii).    Reflections on the results and recommendations for improving: (a) the items; and (b) instruction.

 

(iv).    A conclusion that accurately summarises the main findings of the analyses and inferences made. 

 

(v).    Appendices that have the following supplemental materials: a copy of the table of specifications, a copy of the test, key, model answer and/or scoring tool(s), and a table with the raw scores for students according to items or tasks.
