Question: Please help with this! PP 1 ) Sizing of a wall insulation ( Incropera ch . 3 , One - dimensional, Steady State Conduction )

Please help with this! PP1) Sizing of a wall insulation (Incropera ch.3, One-dimensional, Steady State Conduction) A wall of a house is constructed of 5 layers of different structures: (i) plasterboard (l =0.012 m, k =0.23W/(m K))(ii) rock wool layer (k =0.045W/(m K))(iii) wind shield (l =0.02 m, k =0.09W/(m K))(iv) air gap (l =0.015 m)(v) brick layer (l =0.08 m, k =0.7W/(m K)) The indoor air is Ti =21C and the heat transfer coefficient of the inner surface is hi =5W/(m2 K). The outdoor air is To =30C and the heat transfer coefficient of the outer surface is ho =15W/(m2 K). The heat transfer coefficient on both surfaces of the air gap is hg =10W/(m2 K). The indoor wall surface temperature is Ts,i =17C and the wall is at steady state. (a) Calculate the heat flux through the wall (b) Calculate the needed thickness of the rock wool layer (c) Plot the temperature distribution through the wall
Please notice that the brick wall is against the outdoor temperature!
