Create a Web page that provides information about one of your favorite vacation destinations. The design and layout is up to you. Be sure to put effort into the layout and style of your page. Remember that all your pages created this quarter must follow the HTML5 and CSS3 specifications.

As a minimum requirement, your page must include the following elements:

Using a text editor, create a new external CSS page. Save the page as assignment8.css in your module8 folder. Include any CSS rules that you feel are necessary to create the layout and format you desire.

Using a text editor, create a new web page that validates as an HTML5 file. Save the page as assignment8.html in your module8 folder.

Be sure to include a header with a heading that explains the topic of your page

Include some text explaining your favorite vacation destination along with at least one image. Be sure your image is optimized and scaled to the size you would like to use on your page. Make sure the image is optimized to 40K or less. Use the online editing tool Pixlr at http://pixlr.com/ to scale the image (review the Image Editing learning activity in Module 3 for help using this tool). I would prefer that the image you include is one that you have taken of your vacation destination. But if you don't have an image of your own, you can find an image on the web of your vacation destination and use it.

You will also need to include this information on your page as a place you would like to visit in the future.

Embed these videos using the HTML5 video element (pacifictrailsresort.mp4, pacifictrailsresort.ogv). Save these files to your local drive by right-clicking on the links and selecting Save Link As... or Save Target As...The dimensions of the video are 320px wide by 240px high. Use this image pacifictrailsresort.jpg as a poster image in the video tag. One last thing you will need to verify. Make sure in the HTML5 source tag that the MIME types are defined as type="video/mp4" for the MP4 file and type="video/ogg" for the OGV file. This is how your student server is configured so your code must match the MIME types configured on the server for the videos to work correctly when played from the server.
