Question: PLEASE I NEED A FULL WRITTEN REPORT ABOUT THIS TOPIC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THANK YOU - The project starts with your choice of

- The project starts with your choice of a manufacturing organization. Make sure the organization is willing to allow you to collect data. That is your responsibility. - Provide an overview of the company's product portfolio and operations style. - Select a production/assembly line and describe it thoroughly. And describe the products that are produced on that production line with details and figures. - Provide a graphical layout of the production line. This must be done by visiting the company and observing the operations closely. Use AutoCAD or another software to draw the layout. Show dimensions of the area of the line, and the uses of each space, and annotate the machines and equipment on the line clearly on the drawing. - Pick three of the workstations and provide complete details about them: figures/photos, brand names of the machines, number of machines and workers, working hours, capacity, cycle time, amount of work in process you observed around the machines, how setup is done, what kind of breakdowns or stops occurring for the machine, how maintenance is done, the productivity of the machines and the stations per day, input materials and shape of the output materials before and after the workstation, among other information you find useful. - Review the main concepts covered in the course regarding lean concepts, kanban, setup reduction, work-in-process reduction, wastes, etc. Check the chapters in text and reference books; do not wait until we have studied them in class. And comment on the workstations based on that. - Always review your understanding and findings with the production manager. Collect their feedback and comments in order to correct yourself and deepen your understanding. - The goal of this project is to gain realistic experiences and understanding of how reality is different or similar to the theory in the textbook. Make your comments based on that. - Fulfil the requirements in the project deliverables as described in the following sections. You must meet those requirements on time with the desirable quality. It is a properly formatted technical report (see Technical Writing Guide on Moodie). Prepare your proposal after having visited the company and talked to the people there to collect and correct the data and your understanding, it must include all data collected it must include feodback from the factory on what you are doing in the project. A report of 10 to 20 pages is required plus the appentices. The report should include the following at least? - Group members information, factory name and other projoct isformation on the report cover pope. - A background about the company, its full namie, address and location, website, and photo of the buildines of the compary, and what it produces -2 pages maximum - Generat description of the chosen prodoction line and products produced on it. The description should be supported by dara collected from the compary and the use at mraphical techniques (using laysuts, flowcharts, efgineering drawhes, photos, tables, etc) - 2 pages plus figures and photos. - Select three workstations on the Ine and get more information about them. Make sure to have a clear and good graphics with good desctiptions. Pay attention to the area around each processing step and the total area of the station includire any space for storage, movement TThese elements are not the table of contents of the report. You do not have to mate heading in the report with these same words. include all useful data and information in the report and orcanize them logicaly in the way you believe right. and transportation. Data for each workstation include, but non limited to the following: uo to 15 pages - Brand names of the machines and equipment on each woristation - with figure - Name and description of the processing step and what is actually done there - The equipment, tools, machines used in the processing step and the capacity. This also includes people working at the workstation - Shape of the materials before processing and after processing Use engineering methods to describe and you may use photos in addition to that - The necersary setup and time needed to set each machine, who does the setup and how often setup is performed - The batch size for processing, what is unit of the product processed on the machine. - The actual processing time of each piece of equipment for each unithbutch, on average. You need to say clearly for instance, that the stacion takes 5 min so cul a square part of steel to use in - Be accurate about the time units and if the machine process amounts of materials as batch and this material are used later to make mere than one unit of the product, then calculate the procensing time per unit of the product. - The maximum capacity of the woristation and the actual capacity that you obseved - The observed work-in-process (WP) on average at the worlstation and how the Wip is stored and moved between stations. Explain why WIP accumulates and how long it staps around a particular woristation - Equipment stoppings either random or planned: casses, frequency, how long ir taies to fix any problers, and who fices them - Make overall comments on what you have seen - one or two parabraphs - Provide any documents and data collected from the company in the appendix or submit separately to the instructor. - In delverable one, you can collect detailed information for one or two stations only, leaving the third station for the second deliverable. But you must specify the three stations and maive general description of each one in delwerable 1
