Conflict Resolution Paper Guidelines
The goal of this assignment is to (1) Locate a case (criminal/civil) ending with a hung jury (jurors unable to agree/unable to reach a decision); (2) Read the case controversy (3) Identify the controversy/Argument/Issue (4) Analyze and Evaluate Alternatives (5) Indicate what decision you would choose and indicate 2-3 reasons to support your positions. This will require research performing a mini-literature review (work of previous scholars). Include citations, if any.
This assignment is worth 10 points and each paper will be graded on how thorough and legally sound your arguments are. Paper must be typed double spaced and at least 2 pages in length, no longer than 5 pages (APA format).
