4.1.1 Code development

Write a bot (e.g. take Agobot or Phatbot as a base) in perl or python (or C/C++ if you must) that does at least the following:

1. Coordinate messages via a microblogging server (e.g. StatusNet). Design your own command- and-control (C&C) protocol, or re-use an existing one, where bots follow the botmasters feed on the microblogging server.

2. Download a web page, or entire web site.

3. Send spam. Source of spam text should be a web page on the network or a C&C message.

4. Send files on the host system to the botmaster (a host of choice on the network) on request.

Each bot could also provide a unique identifier (e.g. its microblogging name) when responding to the botmaster, allowing for an accurate count of bots and individual addressability of bots.
