Project Scope

Background

Animal Land is a new regional zoo concept planned and developed by Walter Salisbury, an entrepreneur, to provide people with an experience of different animals worldwide. The project concern is the creation of enclosures that mimic the natural conditions of wildlife, the presence of giraffes with elephants and flamingoes with sea lions, both of which are unusual in any captivity. Further, there is a significant problem with the need for more professional zoo veterinarians to serve in the company due to the stiff employment demand. The positive impacts of this project include educational experiences received at community day camps and diversification of the latter, leading to increased wildlife protection.

Scope Description

This project is constructing a place for giraffes, elephants, penguins, polar bears, flamingos, sea lions, zebras, and snow foxes. It also includes the employment needs of ACZM$-$certified veterinarians, support staff, and grounds crew. Furthermore, it includes designing and constructing three themed concessions and two souvenir shops and implementing an overall camp program consisting of city participation and a curriculum approved by the World Wildlife Fund.
