Question:
Please post screenshot and one explanation for the observed relationship. For this discussion, you will be utilizing the Google Public Data Explorer to look at data from the World Development Indicators (WDI): Public Data Explorer

The link should take you to a page that shows a scatter plot with life expectancy on the horizontal axis and fertility on the vertical axis. Change both to two other variables from the long list of available data in the WDI catalog. To do this, first click on each variable name on the scatter plot and then select something different from the list on the left. Note that there are 12 broad categories and many different variables to pick within each category.
When selecting your variables, you should choose your explanatory variable for the horizontal axis and your dependent variable for the vertical axis. In other words, the variable that is causing an effect goes on the x-axis and the variable that is being affected goes on the y-axis.
Once you have selected your variables, take a screen shot of your scatter plot and include it in your discussion post. Describe the relationship (positive, negative, no relationship) and come up with one logical explanation for what you observe.
When selecting your variables, use the year slider to see if there is more data for previous years (often the case). You can also click on chart options (the cog wheel at the top right) and change from linear to log scales if that makes your diagram and relationship clearer.
