"Professor Hutchins and class,
Regarding the three assigned videos for this unit (CeCe Olisa, Sheryl Sandberg and Anne Marie Slaughter):
What in each video most surprised you?
CeCe Olisa; that her heritage is Nigerian.
Sheryl Sandberg: her frankness in what she says about relations. Highly individual.
Anne Marie Slaughter: she went into the main point of her lecture in the first two minutes of dialogue.
Describe two important insights you gained from each video.
CeCe Olisa: Fresno State (California) location.
Overcoming employment barriers are conditional project management.
Public administration and theater communication can be real motivators.
Book text; "Barriers to Creative Thinking." (2015, pages 275-278.) The stage and its presence greatly aided the Olisa perspective to overcome the physical "barriers." (2015)
Sheryl Sandberg: Washington D. C. location.
She went into an example from her early career and career advancement resume.
She did this lecture in her primordial career setter, and government work location.
ReferencedFacebookat least two times. Did not reference her own published book.
Book text: "The Vital Role of Dialogue." (2015, pages 285-290.) Her individual was a character cast and call that generated the private to public role playing as; "dialogue." (2015)
Anne-Marie Slaughter; Edinburgh Scotland location.
"Real (full) equality." Twenty-Four-hour competition. Work to Life Balance.
Rapid fire talk pace made a lot of persuasion go out to the listening audience.
Book text; "Innovation as a Habit," along with "Innovation is cyclical." (2015, pages 274, 275.) Her family as a public administration case involved the new generation. A "cyclical" plea was persuasively delivered. (2015) Her professional "habit" was seated in government office at an informal setting. (2015)
How do those insights enhance and inform your leadership skills?
Learn my presentation. The course text illustrates well at; "routine." (2015, page 274.) This is highly consistent with building a case. All three TED Video speakers were highly prepared for their given topics.
Learn that these topics are all over the place in their science and managerial art in public administration. "Module 4" text compares the given "quadrant" level education (with master's concept) at; "Table M4.2: Four Strategies for Changing Human Systems and the Questions Change Agents Should Ask Themselves." (2015, page 301.)
Share with the class what leader you selected for your Reaction Essay.
Leader: Meg Whitman (CEO: HP Computer Corporation.)
What most surprised you about this person?
How she early showed a self-starter quality and persona type image.
What speaks to you personally?
Self-starter, not so much on the image though.
