This can be done in a number of ways such as surveys, focus groups, SEO tools and analyzing their results, and independent research of reviews and commentary on social media. This can also tie in with market research and analysis, which is looking at the market itself to determine what is rising in popularity.

Using Employee Empowerment: After gaining insight from the analysis run on the customer feedback and market research, another way to achieve anticipate future customers' needs is by getting your employees on board. The first and most simple way I could suggest is that an organization can set clear goals and keep track of how long it takes to bring a product from the start of the project to its launch. Recognizing teams that consistently beat the time-to-market targets can be a good boost for everyone's spirits and encourage continual improvement, even without any financial incentive. It's also good to keep an eye on metrics like how fast tasks are completed and the overall pace of work, which can help for quick analysis and encourage continual improvement in these times. It also helps to promote collaboration among different departments, so that they are working together to achieve the same goals. Creating an atmosphere where everyone is always looking for ways to get better, investing in tools and automation, and offering training opportunities all play a part in reducing development time (Adler, 2014.)
