Hofstede's theory was introduced in 1980 1. Power distance index 2. Collectivism vs Individualism 3. Uncertainty ordinance index 4. Femininity vs masculinity 5. Short-term vs long-term orientation 6. Restraint vs Indulgence According to me, this model is useful in managing many cultural differences across the world. The six Dimensions of culture provides a basic analysis of comparing and contrasting various conditions. For instance, if we take a look at Ireland in United States we can see that these nations are very much similar in terms of masculinity, uncertainty avoidance and indulgence of youth in managing daily activities. Moreover, we can see many differences in terms of power rating and individualism if we see long-term orientation, the organizations that focuson long-term relationship with employees are more connected with their employees and are more attached towards them. As per the study, Organizations that see employees a short term do not invest in the relationships usually seek for better opportunities coming their way
