Hofstede's model is a well-known cultural model since last many years. Hofstede is the one who has done many researches on divesifications based on cultures, it is based on six cultural dimensions which are as follows- 1. Power distance index 2. Collectivism vs individualism 3. Uncertainty ordinance Index 4. Femininity vs masculinity 5. Short-term vs long-term orientation 6. Restraint vs Indulgence In my opinion, Hofstede's model is outdated as- 1. Due to globalization, many multinational companies have been established to work globally and the working culture has changed drastically since 1980's. 2. The second reason would be changes in household structure. We have seen an increasing number of nuclear families in Asia which is because of the poor economic conditions. Moreover, people's choices and preferences have also shofted towards nuclear families. This does not imply in present as women nowadays tend to have more masculinity and practises to live an independent lifestyle then they used to live in the past. 3. It is mostly common that people are not reliable enough on many basis. Hofstede's theory has proved to be faulty for promoting a static cultural view (Hamden-Turner & Trompensars, 1997). The world has changed and the culture has also changed on a large scale
