Celebrity Hair Dispute:

Tia Marie was the owner of the Big Hair Beauty Salon. She completed beauty school 20 years ago and started her salon right out of beauty school. She is very proud of her salon which has a good reputation in as one of the trendiest hair salons in Culver City.

Elsa is a new customer who first visited the Big Hair Salon late on Saturday evening about 1 hour before closing time and asked Tia if it was possible for her to get her hair colored as she had an award show to attend on the following Sunday afternoon.

She said that she was going to be wearing a red dress and wanted to color her hair to match the exact color of her dress, she brought along the dress so that Tia could get the exact color for her. She was a walk in customer so Tia told her that it was too later in the day to get this done, as she knew she did not have the color in her inventory, plus it would take a while to get this done and she would have to bleach Elsa's very black hair then put on the red that Elsa wanted. Elsa started crying, said she was desperate as she was going out for the first time with her new on line boyfriend, and wanted to create a good impression, and promised to pay her an additional $100.00.

Tia felt really sorry for her, and although she was tired from her long day at the salon, agreed to work on Elsa's hair, knowing that she would be at the salon for another five hours. Tia worked on Elsa's hair for about 5 and a half hours and finally achieved the color she wanted. When Elsa looked in the mirror at the end of the evening, she was ecstatic, paid Tia an extra $120.00 and left the salon very happy.

On Sunday night Tia received a text from Elsa who was extremely upset, threatening to sue Tia since Elsa said that the next morning she woke up and her hair was bright purple and varying shades of orange. She had to wear a hat to the Award's show. Elsa sued and the case was sent to mediation.
