You Decide-Racial Profiling? Mini Case Study 1 A well-dressed young Hispanic male is driving through a pre- dominantly white community early in the morning on his way to work in a new BMW. He is pulled over for speeding and the officer, instead of simply asking for a driver's license and writing a speeding ticket, calls for backup and is joined by another of- ficer. The young man is told to leave his vehicle and the officers search it. "Hey, where did you get the money for something like this?" one officer asks mockingly as he starts going through every inch of the BMW. One of the officers pulls off an inside door panel, and more dismantling of the vehicle follows. They say they are looking for drugs, but in the end, find nothing.
