Introduction:
My name is xxx I am currently attending Keiser University finishing my business degree in marketing. I finished my Associates's degree over ten years ago and then decided to take a break from school to start a family. I have been married for fourteen years and have two sons, ages fourteen and eleven. My sons are my motivation for going back to school to finish my degree. I would like to use my business degree to help my small business grow.
Growing up I felt I always had this ability to know what people liked or disliked. I have a knack for talking to someone and finding out what they want. My first thought for a career was psychology, but It just didn't seem exciting enough. I really love shopping, fashion, home decor, and even food products, I don't love talking about people's feelings. This is when I found marketing, what a great career for me, it is basically the psychology of a shopper. I can not wait to finish my degree and start my career in marketing.
Professional Philosophy:
It's Never Too Late to Accomplish your Goals
At the age of 21, I found out I was going to be a mother. I felt then that this was it, my identity will be being a mother. I left school, married, and was content for a while. I realized that being a mother is wonderful, but it's not my entire identity. Becoming a mother brought out my self-confidence and my best attributes. I am a great multi-tasker, extremely organized, have strong leadership skills, and have deep empathy for everyone, from all walks of life. I have taught my kids " treats others the way you would like to be treated" this philosophy can work at home and in a work environment.
Multi-tasking is what I do best! I am a small business owner, captain of a competitive tennis team, a Realtor, and of course, a mother. For me to be able to multi-task, I have learned to be well-organized and efficient. Leadership skills are essential in the workforce. Becoming captain of my tennis team has proven that I have experience with leadership. I sell homes for close family and friends, in a sales environment, you must be confident and be able to lead a conversation.
I plan on finishing my Business degree with a concentration in Marketing. My dream is to work for the United States Tennis Association in their tournament marketing department. I would like to share my passion for tennis with people that may not even know anything about tennis. Its never too late to achieve your goals, I know that it is definitely not too late for me.
