This article, pertaining to Frankenforms, embodies the concepts of myths and icons. It does this by expressing the many forms that Frankenstein has been utilized through various types of venues and media. The author Larabee (2018) is referring to creative forms as the many ways Frankenstein can be portrayed. This may include cartooning, memes, comics, and video games that use photographs. Larabee (2018), writes about an event held to honor the 200^th anniversary of Mary Shelleys novel Frankenstein. This event housed a large audience, which engaged in discussing the retelling of the story by other authors such as Richard Brinsley Peak, Alex Garland, and Shelley Jackson. Larabee (2018) states that there are many authors, including herself, that teach this novel as a living thing through stories and images.

The cultural significance is the idea of Frankenstein which has been written and rewritten through many iterations for readers, movies, theater, television, videogames, and dancing. Even, today, adaptations have appeared in other horror stories, like Penny Dreadful, the Frankenstein Chronicles, and Westworld. Additionally, there are other authors with a vast interest in the text, like, Vanessa Dickerson who examines its ghostly female characters, or Ellen Golubs examines the ethical understanding for the technological extension of human life, and Robin Roberts argues that its a story of a female alien that never receives a chance to speak (Larabee, 2018). These are examples of how many authors can perceive and argue the novel from different aspects.

Frankenstein is a horror story that I believe will be something I remember for the rest of my life. Of the people that have read the novel, if asked to imagine Frankenstein, we would likely share a similar image.
