Building Your Game Plan

What does the playing field look like? What are the market trends in your sector of the healthcare industry?

The playing field of our organization in nursing home sector is that the residents want a better nursing care at fair cost. Since enrolling at a nursing home is expensive. Therefore, based on current state of the sector playing field the trends are:

- In home care for elderly

- Personal tailored services

- Adoption of new technology .e.g. tel emedicine ( Fashaw , 1).

What has the competition been up to ? How will your game plan address the risk of competitive challenges in your sector?

The competition have been reducing the price for nursing home, improving health of nursing home environment, and facilitating in home care for the elderly (Ferreira, 2). My game plan in order to address the risk of competitive challenge in the sector is to ensure I provide the best nursing services at the lowest price possible. Also, expand the nursing services to in home care.

How will your recommendations improve your organization's results in the short term (1 year) and long term (3 years)?

The short-term improvement through my recommendation is that the income will increase and better services. The long-termeffect is that the organization existence will be assured, since the organization will gain a positive reputation in terms of quality services and low prices.
