A few data techniques I have used in my education/career consist of Data mining, Visualization, and Classification. I have used Data mining and Classification in my career as an accountant. For data mining I was asked to analyze/review credit limit for customers. The customers financial history data was extracted which helped in determing their potential risk. As an accountant, I reconcile different accounts. Each of these accounts is classified as either an asset, liability, equity, expense or revenue account. In my years of school, Visualization technique was used quite a bit. Most recently in a prior class I had a project company and present it using visualizations (powerpoint slides) that showed details of the company. I hope to continue to use/learn about more techniques/technologies as I progress in my career/ education further.

After reading the article the three techniques/ technologies I found to be interesting were Machine learning, Pattern Recognition, and Time series analysis. I would be interested to gain more experience in forecasting (specifically with revenue) and interpreting results.
